Ursula Charlie Prela
Ursula begins her journey in Italy with tap dancing and the musical theatre repertoire, before dedicating herself a few years later to the practice of urban dances (waacking, locking, house…).
Always passionate about jazz music, she later discovers the richness of swing dances and decides to explore this world in depth by studying the great names of tap dance and solo jazz.
Now based in Paris, she develops a personal approach to dance, weaving connections between her love of swing and urban dances.
Rhythm Outlines & Friends
Coming from all corners of Strasbourg, The Rhythm Outlines are firmly rooted in the local swing scene and regularly perform at events organized by the Lindy Spot association. They also travel across Europe to play at numerous festivals.
For this edition of Jazzala, they’re offering you a great swing jam session with many guest musicians to inspire your dancing all evening!
Levels
It is possible to register for multiple levels at the same time!
_Beginner
You’ve never danced solo jazz, or perhaps you’ve just learned a few steps here and there while already practicing other swing dances. Come here and dive in for real! You’ll learn basic moves, techniques, and rhythms that will give you plenty to enjoy on the dance floor.
_Intermediate
You’ve been taking Solo classes since September 2025 and practice occasionally at socials, or you've learned the basics through choreographies like the Shim-Sham or Tranky-Doo. At this level, the goal is to expand your vocabulary and become more confident in your improvisation, so you can have even more fun!
_Avancé
You have a solid repertoire of steps and feel comfortable improvising solo. Now, you're ready to explore new material, experiment with different styles, and push your dancing to a whole new level. This is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself and grow!
